I’ve been trying to figure out why this timeline is timelining the way it is. I mean, I’m not the only one who isn’t a fan, right? But anyway, I’ve been seeking out material that goes into how things are work, how certain societal structures are the way they are, and what forces have been and are shaping them. You know, psychohistory kinda stuff.
In my travels, I came across the videos of geopolitical consultant Peter Zeihan that offered a perspective that was thought-provoking enough I wanted to share. I should also mention two things: first, as a consultant who summarizes wide, geopolitical trends, he’s giving you some of his conclusions, not wispy ponderings, and second, especially if you wander amongst the rest of his videos, some of you more partisan folks will not like his aggressively apolitical stance.
I found the perspective interesting enough to post here, reminding me that I haven’t read too much about demography and human geography of late. Also, because if his analysis is correct, we will be in what I term “interesting times” for the rest of my lifetime.
