As AI continues to tap-dance through the zeitgeist of society, I don’t have any family references this week, but I do have an Archer/Kenny Loggins reference, and isn’t that the same? An AI chatbot would say so… unless you correct it.
Anyway, OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX are all looking to have IPOs this year which has market musing being cranked up to 11 (if you want analysis in manic video style, Hank Green has your back).
Meanwhile, there’s geopolitical things to muse about with AI (as if there weren’t already), something Matteo Wong covers in The Atlantic with the cheerfully titled article called “AI Had Broken Containment.”
All of this feels much more like events forced upon us rather than decisions we are given a chance to make… so rather on brand for all of this current crop of AI/machine learning fun.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to take a break from musing about AI and muse about Archer or Marcus Aurelius. One of the two.
